The Bavarian Red Cross has called the situation of asylum seekers in Bavaria a “humanitarian catastrophe.”
A wide range of civil society organizations has come together and invite everyone to demonstrate against the “emergency status” in asylum policy. They demand the “emergency policies,” of tent camps, discoordinated opening of asylum centers with low standards and a political discourse that blames asylum seekers for the bad situation, to end.
Alternatively, the removal of “Lagerpflicht” – the obligation to stay in an asylum center – would better the situation of many, as solidarity among citizens is big.
To join the demonstration tomorrow, come to the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior at 6pm.
